My name is Joan Ostrum and I am the Director of the Fort Washington Preschool Play & Learn Center. I have been with Play & Learn since 1991 during which I was a Director at the Hatboro North Center for seven years and currently at the Fort Washington Preschool. I am proud to be a part of Play & Learn. My educational background consists of a B.S. in Education from Temple University and Master’s Degree in Education from Arcadia University. I also have both public and private school certification.
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have always loved children and actually had my own day camp at age eleven. I am excited to be involved with your children and enjoy working with our many families.

Fort Washington Infant Toddler
My name is Dottie Wren and I am the Director of the Infant Toddler Center in Fort Washington. I have been with Play & Learn since 1989, during which I was a Preschool teacher for two years and Director since 1991. I love the time I have spent with Play & Learn, and look forward to my future with the organization. I received my B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from Drexel University and have nursery and kindergarten private certification.
I am the mother of two sons and the grandmother of two boys and a girl. I have counted it an honor and privilege to serve the many Play & Learn families who have trusted me with their precious little ones.

The Fort Washington Play & Learn Centers are located on adjacent campuses on Camp Hill Road between Pennsylvania Avenue and Susquehanna Road, minutes from Route 309 and the Fort Washington exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

Our Preschool Center, established in 1981, and our Infant Toddler Center, established in 1983, are dedicated to meeting the developmental needs of children ages six weeks though six years. We offer full-day kindergarten licensed by the Department of Education. Both centers offer spacious playgrounds featuring separate, well-equipped play areas for older and younger children as well as a paved surface for preschoolers to use riding toys. Indoors you’ll find bright, cheerful classrooms for learning centers and play.
