We're The Experts
Parents and children have enjoyed quality care and early education at Play
& Learn for more than 25 years. In 1981, after a year of research and planning, a team of early education experts and child psychologists opened the first not-for-profit Play & Learn center on the wooded campus of Wordsworth Academy in Fort Washington, PA. Since then, we have grown to operate multiple Pennsylvania Department of Education and Pennsylvania Department of Welfare licensed programs throughout Montgomery County. Over the years, we’ve distinguished ourselves as experts in early education:

Our Directors and Administrators have presented seminars at national NAEYC (National Association for Education of Young Children) conferences.

In 2002, Abington Memorial Hospital selected Play & Learn over several national providers to manage their on-site child care program, the Gerstadt Center.

The Terry Lynne Lokoff foundation selected a Rosemont Play & Learn educator to receive a Teacher Recognition Award for excellence in the care of infants.

Since 1984, we have provided management services to the Montessori Children’s House, with locations in Horsham and Blue Bell.

Since 2002, Play & Learn and Montgomery County Head Start have collaborated and received grants to provide full day and full year early education programs to Head Start children at our Green Lane location

A volunteer Board of Directors and an Executive Director oversee Play & Learn, giving expert support in the areas of education, public relations and finance. Our  Administrative staff, a committed team of Enrollment, Marketing, Human Resources and Accounting professionals, are headquartered in Fort Washington and support the centers on a daily basis. Each location has an on-site Center Director and professional staff. Our teaching staff, directors, administrators and board members are all committed to working together with parents to create a safe, educational and fun setting for children.
