About Families
Our goal is to make a positive difference in the daily lives of parents and children. We understand the needs of busy parents who juggle home, work and family demands. That’s why we offer year-round, flexible scheduling options including full-time, part-time and “as needed” programs with optional “time-off” for family vacations.

Parent’s Night Out – On a monthly basis parents can enjoy a night out knowing their children are safe and cared for in a familiar environment with qualified staff. Children enjoy dinner, a movie, crafts and lots of tender loving care.

Granny Scholarship Fund – This fund provides temporary scholarships ranging from 5% to 25% of tuition for families who have an emergency financial needs. The Granny Scholarship Fund is supported by corporate donations, United Way matching contributions and our families.

We Keep You Informed
Communication is a top priority. It’s our goal to share our observations and the details of each day. You’re always welcome to spend time in your child’s classroom and see your child in action.

Infants & Toddlers – We know parents depend on us to keep them informed about their young child’s day. That’s why we make a daily record of each child’s diapering, feeding and sleeping schedules as well as their general mood and any exciting developmental milestones. Notes and artwork are found in your child’s personal “cubby.”

Preschool/Kindergarten - Teachers are available in the morning and at pick up time. We post lesson plans and classroom newsletters to make it easy for you to engage your child in conversations about their day. Progress reports, written several times a year, track you child’s social and academic growth. Parent-teacher conferences may be requested at any time. We also communicate with parents through:

You Keep Us Informed
We love to hear from parents and encourage your feedback at any time. Your Center Director and the Administrative team are always available via telephone or e-mail.

When your child enters our program or moves to a new classroom, you’ll be asked to fill out a Child Profile Booklet. This detailed information helps us plan your child’s individual care. Each year we ask parents to give us feedback about Play & Learn using the Parent Questionnaire. The results are tallied and reviewed with Center Directors and Staff. This information lets us know what we are doing well and how we can improve.

When your child graduates from our program, we ask for your input regarding your family’s experience at Play & Learn. We realize that our reputation depends on your satisfaction and always seek to better understand your needs.

Our CARELINE is available to parents to assist with childcare concerns and to offer professional advice. When you call the CARELINE you will speak with a Play & Learn Administrator who will consult with you and, when appropriate, communicate your concerns to bring a positive result.
